Yinka Adesesan is a Shameless Generalist

I've always been fascinated by creating things. I started off by creating beats on my old “beat-up” Pentium 1 computer. Not long after that, I discovered graphic design and a whole new world of creativity was opened to me.

When I was eighteen, I started my first business, making and selling customized printed t-shirts from the back seat of my mother's old Mercedes. Thus, I experienced the joy of entrepreneurship, of creating things that provided value for myself and for others.

Since then, I have had a meandering journey. From getting a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (and a healthy respect for calculus) and teaching middle and high schoolers how to solve problems using digital technology, to getting a Masters in Business Management and Design Thinking in the beautiful city of Barcelona (as well as a taste for Mediterranean cuisine).

Along the way, I've launched a couple of companies. Some failed, like a short-lived breakfast delivery startup called Pancakes in Bed, and some are still running, like Creovativ, a web development agency. Now, I spend my time helping startup teams through the accelerator programs I facilitate.

Things I love to talk about; books and reading, science, the internet, venture building, science fiction, teaching and learning, futurism, ecommerce, no-code, mental models, computational design.
